Teaching Opportunities

We will provide you with recruitment help and advice both before and during the course in order to assist you in securing your winter teaching position so you can qualify and teach a winter season (subject to successful completion of the course, work permit and successful interview).

We work with a number of ski schools in Zermatt, and have a vast amount of industry experience within Europe. We will work hard to help ensure you have a job in place before the end of the course. Your trainers also work as full time instructors within schools in the winter, and their expert teaching knowledge is invaluable if you’re thinking of starting a career as a ski instructor.

Most ski schools begin with their induction week during the first week of December, allowing you to finish your Level 2 and be immediately ready to start teaching.

Please get in touch to discuss work opportunities as well as the current Swiss work permit situation. If you only have a British passport and you do not also have an EU passport, you might not be able to obtain a working permit - we will discuss this with you at length in advance. If this is the case, then you will only be eligible to remain in Switzerland for 90 days and you would not be able to gain employment as a ski instructor. If you have an EU passport then you would be eligible to remain in Zermatt for the full winter, and you would also be granted a work permit to teach in the peak weeks.
